South Rockies Baseball5 Sports Centre for Children and Young People – Sotik, Kenya

🎯 Project objective

The aim is to build a simple but functional Baseball5 sports centre in Sotik (southern Kenya) that will give children and young people between the ages of 3 and 18 regular access to sport, community and healthy development – regardless of gender or income.

🏟️ What will be built?

The sports centre will include:

• ⚾ Open-air Baseball5 pitch with grass
• 🏠 Simple sports hall (weather protection, training venue)
• 🚻 Toilets for girls, boys and supervisors
• 🧼 Washing and changing facilities
• 📝 Registration point/office
• 🍽️ Multipurpose room for meals, meetings & workshops

🧒👧 Target group

• Children & young people from low-income families
• Girls and boys between the ages of 3 and 18
• Local schools, CBOs, parents & coaching teams

The project is initiated and implemented by the registered Community Based Organisation (CBO):
